YOGI Proudly Expands Reach, With New Bamenda Branch Office

MFORBI C. Festus

Youth and Gender Initiative (YOGI), a not-for-profit and non-partisan community service organization, is thrilled to announce the opening of her new branch office in Bamenda. As a registered association headquartered in Ndop, Ngoketunjia Division, our commitment has always been to empower women and youths towards sustainable livelihoods. The new Bamenda office, officially open on June 18, 2024, marks a significant milestone in our journey of empowerment and community service.

A Strategic Expansion

Bamenda, the bustling headquarters of the Northwest Region, is home to over 537,000 residents. This dynamic city hosts a range of public institutions, educational facilities, private businesses, and non-governmental organizations. The opening of our Bamenda office is not just an expansion of our physical presence but a strategic move to leverage the city’s vibrant infrastructure for greater organizational reach and enhanced community impact.

Why Bamenda?

Choosing Bamenda as the location for our new office is rooted in its significant role within the Northwest Region. The city's accessibility and its role as a hub for education and civic activity make it an ideal location for YOGI to amplify our impact, particularly in engaging more volunteers and reaching more beneficiaries.

A Momentous Opening

The opening of the Bamenda office coincided with YOGI’s Mid-Year Review Meeting, an event graced by patrons, executives, and members of the organization. Moderated by the Head of Programs, Rev Mforbi Festus, the meeting was not only a celebration of our new space but also a reflection on our achievements and a strategic planning session for future endeavors.

Looking Ahead

With the expansion to Bamenda, YOGI is poised to enhance our programs and extend our reach across the Northwest Region. We are excited about the possibilities this new office brings and look forward to engaging more deeply with communities to drive real change. We invite all stakeholders, including local communities, partners, and volunteers, to join us in this new chapter of growth and impact. Together, we can build a more equitable and empowered society.
